About Us
The Way to Jerusalem initiative is led by Yael Tarasiuk and Golan Rice. It was inspired by the immense potential of personal empowerment which is inherent in walking a path of pilgrimage to a destination of such worldwide significance.
The initiative also stems from a desire to improve, however slightly, the way we as a global community; how we relate to, and communicate with, one another. It understands, appreciates and responds to the need for connection, multinationalism, sharing, tolerance, and patience—much like the city of Jerusalem itself.
Golan Rice

Golan is the author of the book On the Way to Santiago, in which he shares his personal pilgrimage experiences and the inner transformation shaped along the road.
He has undertaken three long and profound journeys on the Way of Saint James, experiences that deepened not only his personal understanding, but also his ongoing research into pilgrimage culture with a particular focus on contemporary pilgrimage and its role in shaping identity, community, and intercultural dialogue in our time.
Golan is Co-Founder of The Way to Jerusalem, fostering meaningful encounters between people, communities, and traditions. He specializes in building interpersonal bridges and developing leadership and management capacities, strengthening connections between cultures and facilitating interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
For him, pilgrimage is not only a path walked but a living framework for personal growth, cultural renewal, and social transformation
Yael Tarasiuk-Nevo

Yael is a Social entrepreneur and co-founder of The Way to Jerusalem Pilgrimage.
Creator and developer of community models, initiator and builder of social projects. With extensive experience as a Training Development Manager leading organizational processes and guiding individuals in building their personal narratives. Everyone carries a compelling story within them. Each person walks through the world holding a wealth of lived experiences, often seeking nothing more than a listening ear — one that can honor their story and, through that act of listening, bear witness to the unfolding narrative of their life.
This is the heart of my belief : to create a Way that makes such encounters possible, a path where stories are welcomed, shared, and truly heard.
The learning process and the messages contained in the book, together with the understanding of the tremendous power inherent in pilgrimage - a power that creates social and multicultural dialogue form the foundation for the creation and establishment of the Pilgrimage Route to Jerusalem. Just like other pilgrimage routes, the construction of the Pilgrimage Route to Jerusalem is built upon the foundations of simplicity, humility, and gratitude, which, like the yellow arrow, point the way toward Jerusalem
