 Pioneer Pilgrimage Groups – 2026

Before diving into the Pioneer Journey , we invite you to first take a moment to learn about the Way of Silence and the pilgrimage journey itself

Who Are the Pioneer Groups?

The Way to Jerusalem is still in its first steps. A living path in motion, continually being shaped and gently sculpted by those who walk it.
Every action taken now leaves a meaningful mark on its unfolding story.

Pioneer Groups are far more than the first to walk the Way, they are the ones who give it breath, rhythm, and direction. For us, and for the Way itself, their presence shapes the culture, deepens the story, and leaves footprints that future pilgrims will follow.

Every ceremony, every encounter, every connection becomes a footprint in the emerging tradition of modern pilgrimage to Jerusalem. To be part of it is to shape the tradition itself.

The Way is made by walking - Step Into the Way

We asked ourselves how we could keep a living movement along the way, and so we set several dates for pilgrimages throughout the year.
Each journey begins with arrival at the ancient Port of Jaffa. A place that echoes the footsteps of pilgrims who once reached these shores by ship.  They did not begin walking right away. First, they paused. They rested, refreshed themselves, and prepared themselves  for the journey ahead.

Each pilgrimage begins in ancient Jaffa with a welcome gathering and conversation with the founders of the Way, a traditional pilgrim ceremony, receiving the pilgrim

passport (credencial), first official stamp, and a shared evening meal.
Only the next day we will set out toward Jerusalem - the destination  we will reach seven days later, step by step along the Way

A Call To Silence  11.11

For pilgrims who feel called to deepen their experience, we offer a special journey extended by one additional day  devoted entirely to silence. We remain at the monastery in Latrun for a unique workshop centered on quiet presence, listening, and inner awareness. After days of walking and encounter, silence becomes the space where

the journey gently continues within. It is no coincidence that this pilgrimage concludes on November 11,  a date often seen as a symbol of alignment and awakening, reminding us of the meeting point between the outer road and the inner path.
There is also a historical echo to this choice. In the 8th century, the German pilgrim Willibald, a monk who journeyed to the Holy Land around the year 700, understood that pilgrimage is not only about reaching sacred places, but about allowing the journey to shape the soul. Like many monastics, he recognized that the deepest transformations often unfold in silence.
This journey is an invitation to slow down, listen more closely, and walk with greater awareness discovering that in silence, each step carries a deeper meaning.
