Meet Our Guides of the Way
We don't call our official guides "Tour Guides"
they our guides of the Way

AVI FRIDMAN

Avi Fridman
English, Hebrew
Avi Friedman is a licensed tour guide, a graduate of Yad Ben-Zvi, specializing in Jerusalem and its culinary culture, and in the historical connection between story, place, and taste.
He is the pioneer guide and was first one to lead the pioneering groups from the beginning. Through walking together, attentive listening, and direct encounters with people and landscapes, Avi became an
inseparable part of shaping the route’s narrative and stories — not only as someone who tells the story, but as someone who helped create it.
His sensitivity to beauty and creativity also come from the world of art. A graduate of Bezalel Academy in Screen Arts, he is a writer and the author of several published books. In his guided walks, he incorporates his personal collection of books and historical objects — not as decoration, but as a living museum that deepens the experience and bridges past and present.
Raised within the Religious Zionist community, Avi brings an additional layer of identity, context, and depth to his guiding.
Avi has walked the entire Camino Francés, and the pilgrimage experience is an integral part of his understanding of the Way — walking, human encounter, local food, and places that tell a story.
He never leaves home without his bicycle, and with a smile he admits he’s terrible at marketing and social media. Luckily, when it comes to the story itself, he tells it beautifully.
